Students raise safety concerns at Auraria town-hall meeting
Denver Post - Colleen O'Connor -
When students and parents lined up at the microphone to ask questions of campus authorities, Natalie Orrell, a student who is blind, walked up with her guide dog.

"I use RTD to commute, and I've had some close calls at the Colfax station," she said. "Can we get some extra patrols or lighting there? There are all kinds of people with issues hanging out on that corner."

Auraria campus Police Chief John Mackey said security in that area was being beefed up, and he also advised that she get a cellphone to call police.
