I used a flea treatment on on of my cats that I bought at Wal-Mart, I think it was Hartz brand? He freaked out and ran all over like a wild cat, after a couple of days all the fur on the back of his neck where I'd applied the stuff fell out and he had a bald spot that was so red and irritated I had to take him to the vet and get a burn ointment for him. Ended up costing me a whole lot more than the few dollars I saved by not buying Frontline or Advantage. I will never use that stuff again!

Hartz is bad stuff...shown to be quite dangerous...and relatively ineffective.

Yeah, I've seen some terrible reactions with Hartz stuff. Seizures, burns, allergic reactions, hair loss, etc. Terrible stuff.
