I plan on calling the vet in the morning (have to go pick up next months flea/tick medicine anyways) but I wanted to see if anyone might know anything about this.
Two days ago I pulled a tick that was still small so probably hadn't been on Sheriff that long. Tonight I noticed that probably 3/4 inch around the spot where the tick was, which is a tiny bit red and swollen, are some pretty small red blotches. They don't go all the way around nor are they very large or numerous. Barely enough for me to notice without really looking in good lighting...but enough for me to go...that isn't exactly right.
Lyme disease usually presents as a circle around the bite...right? So small blotches (about the size of a typical smiley on this board or less

) wouldn't fit that right? Is there something else that is caused by a tick that I should be freaking out about or could this just be some irritation? There isn't an open wound where the bite was...just a tiny scab in the middle so I don't really have any reason to believe there is an infection.
