we used to raise cows also and did have one that was house broken. he was born in the middle of winter. at first he lived in a old freezer box. but did come out to play and did wear a diaper in the house. we got him adult diapers and cut a hole for his tail. at the time he did not weigh very much and was no bigger than my newfie.

later my grandparents kept letting him in the house and he would go to the door to be let out when he needed to.

when they eventuallly sold the place he did tast very good.

Interestingly enough I did meet a cat that had been trained for emotional support and ended up being a service animal. It alerted to low blood sugar in it's owner and would calm him down when he was having an angxity attack. Also the cat would make a lot of noise if it couldn't wake him up and that would get the roommates attention and saved the guy's life on several occasions. It was a very interesting cat would come when he called and could do a few other tricks. I recommended that he teach the cat to walk on a leash for safety reasons.

It only purred slightly when petted. The only time it was loud is when alerting.

I have a house cat that tells us when she wants something like food, or petting. She learned some tricks too. And she will mew once in response to her name so I can find her (I'm not so good at locating things visually).

:trx:My cat alerts faster to the microwave than the dogs who I TRAINED to alert to that sound. Gets funny but sure helps pups learn the alert because they have to beat the cat to me then try and beat him to the microwave. Greed sure works and this cat is rather GREEDY!!   :paw:

Sort of off topic; there was a local man that trained all sorts of animals for the movies. He had a cat band which he showed me the video of, those cats were almost unbelievable to see! My fav was the drummer. He had a wonderful gift with animals that man.
